Cultivating Leaders Scholarship

As a proud Alabama business, we wanted to create a dedicated local scholarship for students graduating from one of our resident community colleges with intentions of building their careers in a rural community. Students pursuing a future in agriculture after graduation is a major plus.

  • Northwest-Shoals Community College

  • Jefferson State Community College

  • Snead State Community College

  • Southern Union Community College

  • Gadsden State Community College

  • Wallace State Community College

Eligibility for the Cultivating Leaders Scholarship

To apply to either of our local scholarship opportunities, you must meet each of the requirements below.

  • Be a student graduating from a two-year program with the intent of entering a four-year program for the Cultivating Leaders Scholarship

  • Reside in one of Alabama Farm Credit’s participating regions

  • Submit a current high school transcript (official or unofficial)

  • Submit a 2025 application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

  • Submit an essay (see application for essay topic)

  • Completed applications must be received by February 6, 2025
