We are offering two local scholarship options this year that will be awarded to applicants in the regions we service.
Young Roots Scholarship
The ‘Young Roots Scholarship’ is designed for graduating high school seniors intending to major in agriculture, accounting, forestry, finance, or business.
Cultivating Leaders Scholarship
As a proud Alabama business, we wanted to create a dedicated local scholarship for students graduating from one of our resident community colleges with intentions of pursuing a four-year degree in agriculture, accounting, forestry, finance, or business.
Bevill State Community College
Calhoun Community College
Northwest-Shoals Community College
Jefferson State Community College
Snead State Community College
Southern Union Community College
Gadsden State Community College
Wallace State Community College
To apply to either of our local scholarship opportunities, you must meet each of the requirements below. For questions about eligibility, please contact one of our knowledgeable representatives!
Be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2025 for the Young Roots Scholarship
Be a student graduating from a two-year program with the intent of entering a four-year program for the Cultivating Leaders Scholarship
Reside in one of Alabama Farm Credit’s participating regions
Submit a current high school transcript (official or unofficial)
Submit a 2025 application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Submit an essay (see application for essay topic)
Completed applications must be received by February 6, 2025
